Google Maps and GeoRSS

One of the latest (and nicest) features of the always improving Google Maps service is the direct support for GeoRSS feeds, or RSS feeds where location is embedded as a microformat such as in the following example feed:

It’s use is very simple: just paste the feed URL in the search box or specify it in the query (q) parameter:

actually, the previous link will display the geo-referenced feed for this blog!

Dopo il successo del precedente incontro, il prossimo meeting del Java User Group genovese si terrà

  • Tu Che Leggi (si’, sei ancora in tempo a proporti per un breve intervento di 10-20 minuti!)

Seguirà una pizza in compagnia per continuare lo scambio di idee ed esperienze. La pizzeria deve ancora essere individuata (seguiranno annunci a breve sulla ML) ma sarà comunque a pochi passi a piedi (ci sono molte possibilità in zona).

The last JUG meeting hosted by NIS was definitely a success! almost 20 developers participated, listening to Angelo’s and my own presentations on Testing and Build Automation, and exchanging hands-on experiences.


After some discussion, the meeting continued in front of a large amount of pizzas…

The next meeting will take place in the first half of July, the date will be announced as usual on the mailing list and blogs.
